According to sources, a building official called police when they spotted Bynes in the lobby smoking a joint. "She was smoking a joint, acting erratically, and talking to herself." the building official said. When law enforcement arrived they knocked on her door and she let them in.
When police noticed a bong in the apartment, Bynes quickly tossed it out the window...which lucky for her, didn't hit anyone below. When asked what she threw out the window she said "It was just a vase."
While being placed under arrest Bynes was yelling to officers, "Don't you know who I am?"
Bynes was charged with criminal possession of pot, as well as reckless endangerment and felony tampering with evidence.
Law enforcement sources say Bynes was briefly taken to a hospital for psychiatric evaluation and then taken to the station for booking.
But the station wasn't the last stop. Bynes was then taken to night court just before midnight.Shortly after Bynes was released on her own recognizance -- meaning she did not have to post bail -- and she will have to appear in court again on July 9 to address her latest legal woes.
